    Name: The WMODA Treasure Hunt
    Date: June 5, 2021
    Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT
    Event Description:

Explore the treasure trove of fired arts at WMODA on Saturday, June 5 from 10am to 4pm.

At our popular Treasure or Trash event, you can find out if your prized porcelain or glass art is valuable museum quality from Linda Saft ISA AM, an accredited appraiser of decorative arts. Linda will give verbal evaluations and there is a maximum of three items per person. Suggested donation of $5 to WMODA.

Have your diamond jewelry evaluated by Michael Rousso, an expert broker with over 30 years experience in these rare treasures from the earth.

Watch master craftsman, Alex Meiklejohn, throw miniature ceramics on the potter's wheel and have fun hunting for his mini works of art in our new Tiny Treasure Trail around the museum.

You will be amazed at how trash can be turned into treasure in the hands of artist, Betsy Alexis, who recycles discarded materials into whimsical jewelry.

You might find a literary treasure at our inaugural sale of second-hand books which will range from weighty tomes of scholarly research to popular collectors' reference books.

Celebrate World Ocean Day and catch up on the latest news from the 1000 Mermaids Project about the exciting coral reef conservation project coming to Dania Beach this summer.

See how the saying "One man's trash is another man's treasure" rings true at the WMODA Treasure Hunt on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

WMODA is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and is located inside the Gallery of Amazing Things in Dania Beach, just south of the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. WMODA is a non-profit 501c3 museum and all proceeds benefit the educational programs.
