Richard E. Dodge, Ph.D., dean of NSU’s Oceanographic Center and executive director of NSU’s National Coral Reef Institute, will be the featured speaker at the Dania Beach Chamber’s LUNCH + LEARN on February 10th talking about the Oceanographic Center.
Dodge received a B.A. degree from University of Maine in 1969 and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in geology and geophysics from Yale University in 1973 and 1978.
He is a recognized authority on corals and coral reef ecosystems. He has conducted research in Haiti, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Turks and Caicos, Jamaica, Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Panama, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Cape Verde Islands, Sao Tome and Principe (Gulf of Guinea), Mexico, and Florida.
